The 2005 IFSS will provide an overview of many different forest types and some of the concerns that they are faced with. Participants will experience Australian culture and meet many students from around the world. They will be encouraged to actively participate in all activities provided by an exciting program at the IFSS 2005.
The purpose of the IFSS is:
1. To provide forestry students with a means to meet their peers from other countries, discuss and develop ideas and views, and create an atmosphere of solidarity and inspiration.
2. To increase international understanding of economic, social and environmental issues surrounding Australian forestry and forestry practices.
We look forward to meeting everyone and sharing our culture, environment and friendship with you as we explore important natural resource issues and make important decisions for the running of our organization (IFSA) over two weeks in August. Special thanks goes to all those that have helped organise the event and to the sponsors who make it possible.
